Somesh Agarwal (Chairman and MD, Rockwood Hotels & Resorts) has embodied to be an entrepreneur of indomitable spirit who is always on the go to orchestrate the world of hospitality. He grew up in Mumbai, studied Bachelors in Business Administration from University of Virginia Tech in USA followed by studying at the University of California Berkeley.
Somesh Agarwal’s unique vision has reformulated the potential of the global destination wedding sector and is the first hotelier to introduce largest pillar-less banquet in Rajasthan. Lauded for his contribution to the tourism sector, spearheading and innovative genius, has earned many distinguished titles for his hotels such as ‘Best Luxury Wedding Hotel by India Travel Awards 2017’, ‘Best Wedding Hotel by India Hospitality Awards 2017’ and ‘Best Venue for Indoor Weddings by EWPC in 2018’ to name a few. He is working on establishing 3 more hotels in Udaipur, Lonavala and Alibaug near Mumbai soon. One would also not skip but call him a sports aficionado and a travel buff.
